Ikkamiut Lodge
An old church house with a lot of history of and a heartwarming atmosphere. Perfect accommodation for school camps, institutions, colleges and other larger groups.
Ikkamiut Lodge is undergoing continuous renovation at this time, with interior and exterior painting, toilets and water are getting installed, the kitchen is getting renovated and the outside area are cleaned up and made more attractive. Further more there will be installed a generator that makes it possible to charge phones ect.
Renting Ikkamiut Lodge
Ikkamiut Lodge is open for bookings for shorter or longer periodes. There are two large dormitories with space for approx. 12 people in each room (possibility of more). There is a large common room with a kitchen and a large room at the end of the house, where playing, teaching or just hanging out is possible.
Facilities in Ikkamiut Lodge
- 2 rooms with 12 bunk beds in each room and a lot of extra mattresses
- You will need to bring your own bed linen, pillows and sleeping bags
- Two toilets inside (not working right now) and two bucket toilets outside
- You will get our water for cooking and drinking by the small river just behind the lodge
- Dinner table and chairs for 25-30 people
- There are two gas stoves for cooking
- There are heating from two solar stoves
- There are a huge common room where playing, teaching or just hanging out is possible
- There is a sunny terrace with fantastic views towards undisturbed sea and mountains
- There are no electricity, so you will need to bring your own solar charger or power bank
- There are no internet but you are able to find some spots, where your phone can connect with the telecom provider
For many many years Ikkamiut Lodge has been the favorite place for school camps, get aways, weekend stays ect. for people in Maniitsoq. It is no luxury - you are really living simple and side by side with nature, when you are stying here. And we absolutely LOVE it.

Price per night in the lodge: 5.500 DKK
Includes gas and petroleum
Deposit: 5.000 DKK (refunded when the lodge is returned in good condition)
Transfer to/from Ikkamiut Lodge
Transfer to/from Maniitsoq–Ikkamiut Lodge is offered for DKK 550 per person
